Variant age is calculated from the current day backwards, e.g. a product with a new variant a week ago would have a Age Of Newest Variant equal to 7, even if the product was published long ago.

When should I use Age Of Newest Variant instead of Product Created Age?
When restocks or extensions matter more than the original launch date. A new colour or size added to an old style makes it 'new again' by this attribute, while Product Created Age still treats it as old.
Does a newer variant score higher?
Yes. Age attributes are scored in reverse: a product whose newest variant is at or below your Min day count earns the full point weight, one at or above Max earns nothing, and ages in between earn proportionally. Set Max to the number of days after which a new variant should stop counting as new.
