Insights

Dynasort provides built-in data collection and reporting for Shopify collection performance.

  • Per collection
  • Per recipe
  • Overall performance (Dynasort-managed, Shopify-managed, total store)

Dynasort tracks KPIs such as:

  • Views, sessions
  • Conversions and conversion ratio (CVR)
  • Add to cart rate
  • Exits and exit rate
  • Bounces and bounce rate

The Insights view includes a performance timeline: a chart of your key metrics over time, viewable per collection, per recipe, or store-wide. Pick a metric and a date range (for example the last 30 days) to see how it has trended.

What makes the timeline especially useful is that it overlays event markers on the chart, so you can see exactly what changed and when, and line those changes up against performance. Markers include:

  • Sorting enabled or disabled
  • Recipe changed, or the current recipe’s settings updated
  • A/B test started, ended, or switched variants
  • Pins, boosts, or managed-collection rules updated
  • A manual re-sort

For a collection, the timeline also shows changes made to the recipe currently assigned to it, so a recipe edit you make elsewhere still appears on the affected collection’s timeline. This makes it easy to answer “did that change actually help?” by reading the trend before and after each marker.

Frequently asked questions

Which metrics does Dynasort Insights track?

Views, sessions, conversions and conversion rate (CVR), add-to-cart rate, exits and exit rate, and bounces and bounce rate, reported per collection, per recipe, and store-wide.

Can I compare Dynasort-sorted collections with the rest of the store?

Yes. The overall view breaks performance into Dynasort-managed collections, Shopify-managed collections and the total store, so you can see the difference sorting makes.

What is the performance timeline?

A chart of any key metric over a chosen date range, per collection, per recipe or store-wide, with event markers overlaid for sorting toggles, recipe changes, A/B test starts and ends, pin, boost and managed-collection edits, and manual re-sorts. It shows whether a change helped.

How often is Insights data updated?

Once a day. Dynasort aggregates the day's shopper activity in an overnight run around 1:00 AM US Eastern time, so a given day's numbers appear the next morning.

Can I get Insights by email?

Yes. Under Settings choose daily, weekly or monthly reports, the recipients and the timeframe in days the report covers.

How much history does Insights keep?

Collection insights cover 365 days on every plan, including the free Demo plan.
