Boost
Boost is a ranking adjustment feature that allows merchants to increase the visibility of specific products across all collections. By assigning a Boost value, products receive additional ranking points in every collection they appear in, helping them rise in prominence.
How Boost Works

Global Impact: Unlike collection-specific pinning, Boost applies across all collections where the product is present.

Point-Based Adjustment: Boosted products receive additional ranking points, influencing their position based on Recipe calculations. Note, these can also be negative values to globally demote products if you wish.

Flexible Control: Merchants can increase or decrease Boost values as needed to prioritize key products.
When to Use Boost

Highlight Featured Products – Keep best-sellers or flagship items near the top.

Promote Seasonal or Limited-Time Offers – Increase visibility of time-sensitive products.

Push High-Margin Items – Prioritize products that generate the most profit.
Setting a Boost Value

Navigate to a collection where the product is present.

Search for the product you want to boost.

Assign a Boost value (e.g., +10 points).

Save changes, and Dynasort will apply the boost during the next ranking update.
Frequently asked questions
What does Boost do in Dynasort?
Boost adds a fixed number of ranking points to one product in every collection it appears in. The points are added on top of the recipe score, so a boosted product rises store-wide without changing any recipe.
Can a Boost value be negative?
Yes. A negative Boost value removes points and pushes the product down in every collection, which is the simplest way to demote a product globally.
How is Boost different from pinning a product?
Boost is global and point-based, so the product still competes on score and its position can vary by collection. Pinning fixes an exact position in one collection only.
When does a Boost take effect?
On the next ranking update for each collection, which happens within 10 to 60 minutes depending on plan. Boost applies in collections whose recipe has the 'Use boost' option enabled.
