Conversion Rate (CX)

Percentage of product sessions that result in a purchase.

Frequently asked questions

What does the Conversion Rate (CX) attribute measure?

The percentage of sessions that viewed a product and ended in a purchase, within the timeframe you choose. It is the most direct signal of which products turn interest into orders.

How is Conversion Rate different from Conversions and Sales?

Conversion Rate is a percentage of sessions. Conversions is the count of sessions with a checkout, and Sales is units sold. A product with few visits but a high conversion rate can outrank a heavily viewed product that rarely sells.

Does Conversion Rate work on a new store?

It needs collected shopper sessions, so it starts at zero and improves as traffic accumulates. Pair it with catalog attributes such as sales, inventory or price so the recipe still sorts sensibly from day one.
