Managed Collections
Managed Collections allow Dynasort to dynamically select products for a collection based on data-driven conditions. Unlike standard Shopify collections, which rely on manual product selection or tagging, Managed Collections update automatically as product data changes.
How Managed Collections Work
Section titled “How Managed Collections Work”- Define conditions to determine which products qualify.
- Choose matching logic (match all vs match any).
- Optionally apply a Recipe to rank selected products.
- Optionally limit the collection to the top N products.
- Push updates to Shopify automatically.

What is a managed collection in Dynasort?
A collection whose products Dynasort selects automatically from conditions you define, such as 'price greater than $50' or 'back in stock in the last 7 days'. Membership updates as product data changes, and the selection can be ranked with a recipe and capped at the top N products.
How do managed collections differ from Shopify automated collections?
Shopify automated collections match catalog fields like tag, type and price. Dynasort managed collections can also use performance and stock signals such as sales, conversion rate, margin, review ratings, product clicks, full size run and back in stock, then rank the result with a recipe.
What does 'match all' versus 'match any' mean?
'Match all' includes a product only when every condition is true, which narrows the collection. 'Match any' includes a product when at least one condition is true, which widens it.
Can I limit a managed collection to a fixed number of products?
Yes. Apply a recipe to rank the qualifying products and set a top N limit, for example the 24 best-converting products over $100.
